MIHPE coordinates structured career exploration programming for students in medically underserved areas (MUAs) and Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs). Outreach activities are designed to increase awareness of health professions pathways, provide realistic career information, and support informed decision-making. Programming is evidence-informed, longitudinal where possible, and conducted in partnership with schools and community organizations.

MIHPE outreach operates on a partnership basis. Schools and organizations interested in hosting outreach programming complete an intake process to clarify goals, logistics, and expected outcomes.
One-Time Event:
Single presentation or workshop. Minimal follow-up.
Series Programming:
Multi-session engagement over a semester or academic year. Includes pre/post evaluation and documentation.
Sustained Partnership:
Ongoing relationship with annual or bi-annual programming. Includes collaborative planning and shared evaluation.
